Regulation on fishing tourism activities

(pursuant to art. 25 of M.D. 100 of 28.04.2017)
  1. Fishing tourism is not permitted in Zones A.
  2. In Zones B and C fishing tourism activities are permitted, with the gear and methods established for small-scale artisanal fishing in the preceding art. 24, reserved for the parties legitimately engaged therein referred to in the same art. 24, as at the date of entry into force of the regulation, provided they hold a suitable licence to carry out fishing tourism activities.
  3. The issue of the authorisation, with a maximum annual validity, for fishing tourism activities entails the obligation to:
    1. display on the fishing craft the authorisation markings issued by the managing body, to be shown during the carrying out of the fishing activity;
    2. provide the managing body with information relating to the services provided, for the purposes of monitoring the marine protected area, as well as provide users with the specific information material supplied by the managing body. This information must be recorded on a specific register validated by the managing body, which must be kept up to date and delivered at the expiry of the authorisation;
    3. deliver the duly completed register; in the absence of delivery, it will not be possible to request authorisation for fishing tourism activities for the following year;
    4. obtain from users a formal declaration of acknowledgement of the updating decree, of the regulation, of the present regulation and of any annual provisional regulations.
  4. The authorisation request for fishing tourism activities must indicate the fishing gear that is intended to be used.
  5. The improper use of voice diffusion systems and acoustic or sound signals is not permitted.
  6. Fishing tourism activities cannot be carried out simultaneously with small-scale artisanal fishing activities.
  7. The discharge at sea of water from bilges or other systems of the fishing craft and of any toxic or polluting substance, as well as the release of solid or liquid waste, is not permitted. The delivery in port and the management of waste produced is permitted according to the “plan for the collection and management of waste produced by ships and cargo residues” in force, drawn up by the Oristano Port Authority.
  8. The managing body monitors fishing tourism activities in order to ensure sustainable management of the resource and adapts, by subsequent measure, with prior approval by the Ministry, the relevant regulation.

Zone C Regulated Nelle zone B e C sono consentite le attività di pescaturismo, con gli attrezzi e le modalità stabilite per la piccola pesca artigianale al precedente art. 24, riservata ai soggetti legittimati di cui allo stesso art. 24, alla data di entrata in vigore del regolamento di disciplina, purché’ in possesso di idonea licenza all’esercizio dell’attività di pescaturismo.
