The Marine Protected Area, together with the MED SEA (opens in a new window) Foundation and the PARLEY FOR THE OCEANS (opens in a new window) project, is organising a clean-up day on Mal di Ventre Island on Sunday 29 September.
The event is part of the #PlasticFreeMed campaign and belongs to the programme organised by the Marine Protected Area within the #EffettoFarfalla project of CEAS Sinis, in collaboration with the Sardinia Region and all the CEAS centres of Sardinia. The meeting point is at 10:00 at Saline beach. All lovers of the sea and of nature who care about a sea free of plastic and litter are invited to take part.
You can register by filling in this form (opens in a new window). Boat owners can register and reach the island directly, while those without a boat can still register and book one of the places made available by the organisers and by anyone joining the initiative. It is also possible to travel with the authorised operators running transfers from Putzu Idu or Torregrande. For example, the operator Sinis Yachting (opens in a new window) is supporting the initiative with a special rate of €20 per person from Torregrande.
T-shirts and caps will be handed out while stocks last, along with a snack and drinks for all participants. Registrations are open until Wednesday 25 September.
